Welcome to Roaring Fork Roller Derby! Our nonprofit, 501 (c) (3), recreational flat track team is open to everyone, regardless of skill level or age, a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you're a seasoned skater or just starting out, you'll find a community that encourages growth and enjoyment. RIP Dolly. A true icon and one of a kind

And with only 3 practices left this season, we’re putting in the work while we still can.

Working 9 to 5. Practicing 6 to 8. Hitting our friends somewhere in between.

Three practices. Let’s make ’em count.

Last night we battled it out on the track. Today we somehow still wanted to spend MORE time together for team headshots, food, drinks, laughs, pool, and a potluck. And tomorrow? Right back to practice. Three straight days of derby because apparently we just really like each other. 😂

But that’s the thing. Somewhere along the way, this became so much more than showing up to skate.

It’s friendships. It’s people who cheer ridiculously loud for each other. It’s laughing until your face hurts. It’s showing up when someone needs you. It’s welcoming new people in and watching them become part of the family. It’s creating a place where we genuinely want to be together—even after spending the night knocking each other around on skates.

So dang proud of this team and the community we’re building together.

The derby is pretty great.

But these people? They’re the best part. 🖤💜

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR VERY OWN PINK FLAMENGO! 🦩💗

When you’ve been skating as long as she has, apparently a normal birthday party just doesn’t cut it… so naturally we’re throwing an entire Flamingos vs. Unicorns roller derby bout in her honor. 😂🦩🦄

Pink is one hell of a skater, coach, leader, teammate, friend, mom, and certified apex-jumping badass. She somehow finds enough time and energy to skate with TWO leagues — Roaring Fork Roller Derby AND Rocky Fight Club — while still being one of those people who shows up, shares what she knows, pushes everyone around her to be better, and makes derby more fun.

We’re damn lucky to have her.

So tonight, wear your pink, GET LOUD, and come celebrate another trip around the sun for the flamingo who inspired this whole ridiculous theme.

2026 Event Schedule

Roaring Fork Roller Derby is excited to bring an action-packed 2026 season full of community events, parades, scrimmages, mixer bouts, and competitive games.

From skating in local celebrations like Carbondale First Friday Pride and Strawberry Days to hosting special events that welcome skaters from near and far, our season is all about connection, empowerment, and growing the sport we love.

We’re especially honored to host a benefit mixer bout supporting our teammate, founder, and coach, Die’an Grenade who was diagnosed with cancer this late Spring.

Whether you’re cheering from the stands, skating alongside us, or supporting our events in the community, we can’t wait to share an unforgettable season with you!
